Gina Oliva-Pinto has been named vice president of marketing and creative services at NBC’s WNBC New York, where she will continue to collaborate with NBC’s Spanish-language Telemundo WNJU.. She reports to WNBC President and General Manager Eric Lerner and starts September 7.

“Gina is a talented leader and marketer who has impressive broadcasting experience at local stations, syndicated programming and at the corporate level. She has also led successful multiplatform campaigns which grew NBC and Telemundo station audiences across the country,” said Lerner in a statement.

Oliva-Pinto, who speaks both English and Spanish, joins WNBC after working in marketing leadership roles at NBCUniversal Local as senior director and most recently as vice president of marketing. She served as in-house marketing counsel to NBC/Telemundo owned stations’ creative services directors, while also leading marketing efforts for division-wide community and corporate social responsibility initiatives, including Project Innovation and Clear The Shelters. She joined NBCUniversal Local in 2017 from Disney-owned WABC New York where she worked as a marketing producer.

Before WABC, Oliva-Pinto was part of Warner Bros. TV Distribution’s affiliate marketing team supporting the launches of syndicated talk shows Anderson Live and Bethenny. Prior to that, she worked at Fox-owned duopoly WNYW/WWOR New York and at CBS-owned duopoly WFOR/WBFS Miami in promotion roles with increasing responsibility. She began her career at WBFS as a promo coordinator.

She has won various Promax Local Awards, including a gold award for “Station Branding.”

Oliva-Pinto is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism. She resides with her family in Northern New Jersey.
