Industry veteran and former Promax board member Scott Rowe has joined Promax as vice president, industry relations and executive producer, Station Summit, said Promax President and CEO Stacy La Cotera.

In this new role and supported by Promax’s full-time staff, Rowe will work closely with TV station, network and syndication partners to produce the association’s annual event, Station Summit, which brings TV station marketers together with television producers and others for a week of networking, education and inspiration.

“I have been a long-time member, supporter and past board member of Promax – an association I hold near to my heart,” Rowe said in a statement. “So, to have the opportunity to work alongside Stacy, the Promax team and the Station Summit partners and community brings me incredible joy. It was nothing short of magical to have everyone back together in-person this June and the event really solidified not only its incredible business value but also the relationship value of Station Summit. I look forward to working with Stacy and our partners to enhance the experience by reimagining this important event to be even more effective next year.”

Rowe should be well known to Promax members since he has been a frequent host of fan-favorite session, “State of Our Art.” In the above photo, Rowe and Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Dana Feldman present this year’s “State of Our Art” to attendees at June’s Station Summit in Las Vegas, marking the first time the event had taken place since the pandemic.

Besides Promax, Rowe also works with such clients as CNBC, Studio71, Unlikely Collaborators, Imprint Projects, NATPE and Warner Bros. Discovery to provide strategic communication, publicity, social media and marketing counsel and execution.

In February 2021, Rowe capped a 27-year career at Warner Bros., where he most recently served as senior vice president, communications and domestic marketing, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing. In that position, he was responsible for managing all media relations and communications for the studio’s worldwide television distribution businesses, including executive, marketing and strategic/crisis communications. He also headed up marketing for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, including pre-sale marketing as well as post-sale client marketing support. In addition, Rowe co-ran the television group’s social media marketing team.

Prior to that, Rowe served in corporate communications at Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide corporate and business press for the overall studio, as well as for all of its subsidiaries and affiliate companies. Before that, he worked as vice president of worldwide television distribution publicity at Warner Bros. Television, where he was responsible for the trade and business press for Warner Bros.’ syndicated and first-run television business units.

Prior to joining Warner Bros., Rowe spent seven years at Fox, holding posts in Fox Broadcasting Company’s publicity department and in Fox Inc.’s corporate communications office.

Rowe began his career in 1986 as a VIP tour guide on the 20th Century Fox Studio lot, while earning a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from California State University at Long Beach. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Stasi, and he has two daughters, Taylor and Annabelle. He enjoys riding Peloton, playing pickleball and taking long walks with his dogs Newman, Coco and Chester.
