LA-based branding agency Troika has added entertainment industry veteran Kevin Aratari as head of business development and marketing communications.

Aratari, previously CMO of creative agency mOcean, will report to Troika CEO Dan Pappalardo and work on strategic business development, while activating the agency’s initiative of “Entertain Change,” ensuring that Troika aligns itself with innovative and evolving media brands.

“Kevin’s extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry and his passion for the unparalleled opportunities that lie ahead make him a great fit for Troika,” said Pappalardo. “In an era where entertainment, media, and technology are converging and bringing seismic shifts in the landscape, there are unlimited new opportunities for savvy media and consumer brands.”

Aratari is coming from a 13-year stint at mOcean, where he led campaigns for clients including FX Networks, Discovery, A+E Networks, AMC, CBS and Showtime. He is also a guest lecturer at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, speaking about trends and issues facing the industry.
