When real, living people just don’t work, turn to small yellow figurines.
For an ad for British Telecom, TILT Design created a stop-motion video using LEGOs that replicates a live-action commercial for the telco. The animated spot also tied into the February launch of “The LEGO Movie,” which has been shattering box-office expectations since its debut.
The spot, above, matches each and every frame of the original ad, working with LEGO to match each character to LEGO counterparts. Even the background apartment set relied on attention to detail - note the minuscule glass that the team had to fill with water using a pipette.
