Marissa Gold (Sarah Steele) opens a letter with the threat “Kill All Lawyers” as a white powder spills into her lap and Maia Rindell’s (Rose Leslie’s) hands.

“I don’t know what’s going on in the world anymore,” says Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski). “It feels like death is everywhere.”

An intense trailer for season two of The Good Fight on CBS All Access shows Diane, Maia, Lucca (Cush Jumbo) and the rest of the law firm under psychological assault when a client at another firm kills his lawyer for overcharging. After a copycat murder, the firm begins to look at its own clients suspiciously.

Meanwhile, Diane battles with a new partner at the firm, Liz Reddick-Lawrence (Audra McDonald); Maia becomes tougher after her parents’ scandal puts her on trial; and Lucca is brought back into Colin’s orbit.

Delroy Lindo, Justin Bartha, Michael Boatman and Nyambi Nyambi also star.

The series is set in real time against the backdrop of the Trump administration, where “the world is going insane” and the Chicago murder rate is on the rise.

CBS All Access is also drawing parallels between Trump’s presidency and a hostage crisis by naming each season two episode after the number of days he’s been POTUS.

For instance when the show premieres on March 4 it will be titled “Day 408.” Episode 2 will be “Day 415,” and so forth.
