When Imaginary Forces’ Karin Fong was a little girl, just 10 or 12 years old, she already was making movies out of paper and a Super 8 camera. Imagine what could have happened had she had an iPhone in her hand way back when.

She took that passion with her into art school at Yale and then to early work as an animator on shows such as Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

Today, she’s creating such masterpieces as the main titles for Starz’ Counterpart, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and Starz’ Black Sails.

And main titles isn’t all Fong does: she also gets to design fun spots that include both Legos AND the Millennium Falcon:

Fong talked to PromaxBDA Editorial Director Paige Albiniak about how she got where she is today, what she loves about making main titles and how she collaborates with showrunners and creators.
