Syfy on Thursday unveiled the first look for season four of its hit vampire drama, Van Helsing.

The network dropped the extended preview during its San Diego Comic-Con panel, which featured Kelly Overton, who called in remotely, Jonathan Scarfe, Christopher Heyerdahl, Neal McDonough, Jennifer Cheon Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Aleks Paunovic, Keeya King, and Nicole Munoz.

Season four continues the story of Vanessa Van Helsing as she fights to reclaim a world controlled by vampires. The series will delve deeper into the iconic lore of vampires and their ultimate goals for the world, showrunner Jonathan Walker revealed to The Hollywood Reporter in December.

“New villains will rise along with unexpected heroes joining the fight,” he said. “We have a fantastic build planned for this season and I’m thrilled to share it with our dedicated fans.”

Last year, Walker was named new showrunner in Neil LaBute’s place. While serving as showrunner for Netflix’s The I-Land, LaBute will write three scripts for season four.

Van Helsing returns this fall.
