Syfy’s Resident Alien follows secret alien Dr. Harry Vanderspiegel (Alan Tudyk) who was sent to Earth to destroy the human race. He sets up shop in the small town of Patience, Colo., and sets out to accomplish his task. But the longer he hangs around, the more he gets to know and like his neighbors. Now, he finds he’s unable to accomplish his mission.

Unfortunately, his failure only delays the human race’s fate, since Vanderspiegel’s people will soon send someone else to finish what he started.

The above trailer by Studio City, Calif.-based The Shop helps bring viewers up to speed on the events of season one as the show prepares to debut season two on Wednesday, January 26.

Besides Tudyk, the show stars Sara Tomko as Harry’s friend Asta, Corey Reynolds as Sheriff Mike and Elizabeth Bown as Deputy Liv. The series also stars Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler and Judah Prehn.
