Survivor’s Boston Rob Mariano and former Deal or No Deal model Claudia Jordan are headed to NBC’s Deal or No Deal Island in an attempt to outlast, outplay and outscheme their competition. In the trailer for the new series, 13 contestants are seen running all over the island, looking for hidden cases with more than $200 million in prize money.

In each episode, players compete in challenges to secure the briefcases that will be used in that night’s game of Deal or No Deal. The player who snags the highest-value case scores immunity and gets to choose a fellow player to enter “The Temple,” where he or she must play a high-stakes game of Deal or No Deal. If that player accepts an offer that is of lesser value than what is in their chosen case, they are immediately eliminated. On the other hand, if they select a case of higher value, they get to choose who to eliminate.

The winnings from each game of Deal or No Deal are added to a group pot that keeps growing. At the end of the season, the last player standing face the Banker to potentially win the biggest prize in Deal or No Deal history.

The game is not so straightforward, however: the Banker is always watching and raising the stakes with tests of strategy and greed. Host Joe Manganiello serves as the gaming liaison – an intermediary between the Banker and contestants – overseeing gameplay and helping them to navigate tough decisions.

Besides Mariano, 47, and Jordan, 50, the other 11 contestants are Dawson Addis, 25; Aron Barbell, 26; Jordan Fowler, 29; Nick Grasso, 29; Miranda 30; Alyssa Klinzing, 26; Kim Mattina, 63; Amy McCoy, 42; Dr. Stephanie Mitchell, 41; Jamil Sipes, 47 and Brantzen Wong, 31. Sticking with the classic Deal or No Deal format, models/banker’s assistants Ben Crofchick and Kamari Love join the crew on the island. Crofchick and Love are charged with keeping an eye on the briefcases and assisting with opening the cases when necessary,

The new series is executive produced by Howie Mandel, who previously hosted Deal or No Deal and serves as a judge on America’s Got Talent. The show is also executive produced by  Matt Kunitz, Matt Apps, Sarah Happel Jackson, and Endemol Shine North America’s Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre and Sean Loughlin.

Deal or No Deal Island premieres February 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT before moving to its regular 10 p.m. time slot on March 4. All episodes will be available the next day on Peacock. A 30-minute preview of the show will air Saturday, January 13 after the NFL Wild Card game on NBC.
