It looks like World Cup fever has spread through offices around the country, now including summer TV brands as well.

In honor of Team USA advancing to the next round of the World Cup this week, El Rey Network’s new soccer series has launched its Red Card Riot promotion, a multiplatform marketing initiative created to drive engagement around the premiere of “Matador” on July 15. The new part-sports, part-spy series follows an undercover operative who has to join the LA Riot for his next case (a team known as “‘the most red-carded team in the league”).

The campaign calls for people to call a foul on people they know or “cultural incidents,” which sends them personalized red cards (with their name and “infraction” described). The red cards can then be sent via text or social outlets to the recipient. What then? “Keep your eyes out for more dumb-assery from your friends, your family, your favorite celebs, your elected officials, some guy in Croatia, and when you see it? Penalize them!”
