Rosamund Pike, Kate Winslet and Taron Egerton are among the top talent lending their voices to Sky’s animated kids series Moominvalley.

The show is based on the Moomin comic strip stories by Finnish-Swedish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson, published between 1945 and 1993, about a family of creatures and their friends who gone on adventures in their idyllic Moominvalley.

A blend of 2D and 3D animation, it is created by Oscar-winning director Steve Box (Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit) and creative director Marika Makaroff.

Other voice actors include Matt Berry, Bel Powley, Warwick Davis, Joe Wilkinson, Jennifer Saunders, Alison Steadman, Will Self, Richard Ayoade, Akiya Henry, Edvin Endre, Mayumi Kawai, Matt Lucas, Katie Leung, Rebecca Root and Susie Brann.

The family drama will air as 13 22-minute episodes, and premieres Easter 2019 on Sky One and Sky Kids.
