“Gladiators” everywhere will rejoice come January, after ABC on Thursday revealed that Scandal’s long-awaited sixth season will premiere January 19 at 9 p.m. ET.

The popular show, which has developed a loyal cult following, will air between the winter premieres of Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder, both of which come from Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland Productions.

Scandal has been on hiatus since the fifth season ended this past May, after its sixth season was pushed to midseason to accommodate series star Kerry Washington’s pregnancy, Variety reports.

In the first Season 6 trailer for Scandal, the results of the presidential election are in, after a competitive race between candidates Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Frankie Vargas (Ricardo Chavira) and their running mates Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) and Cyrus (Jeff Perry).
