BBC America unveiled a new trailer of the British, car-themed docu-series Top Gear and a new release date for the second series of the rebooted show, which now premieres Sunday, March 12.
The revamped show will be primarily led by Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid, with appearances by Sabine Schmitz, Eddie Jordan and The Stig.
The seven-part show will be filmed in locations such as Kazakhstan, Cuba, Monaco and the American West, and prominently feature souped-up cars like the Ford GT, Aston Martin DB11, BMW M2, Ferrari FXX K and Bugatti Chiron.
“In this new, seven-part season, Top Gear‘s hosts journey across wildest Kazakhstan in cars with half a million miles on the clock, tackle old-school motorsport in Cuba, blast through the U.S.‘s wild west in the latest convertible super-cars, and attempt to turn an ugly South Korean van into a luxury yacht to rival Monaco’s finest,” the network said in a statement.
According to The Verge, former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson was fired from the show more than a year ago after punching a producer, and his longtime co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond refused to go on without Clarkson.
Clarkson, May and Hammond are now working on the Amazon docu-series called The Grand Tour.
Top Gear premieres Sunday, March 12 at 8 p.m. on BBC America.
