“If you had to choose three words to express your relationship, what would they be?” starts the above trailer for Prime Video’s new dark comedy, Mammals, starring BAFTA, Tony and Emmy-winner James Corden (The Late Late Show) and Oscar winner Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water). The answers – confusion, trauma, anger, and more along those lines – aren’t probably how anyone hopes to describe their primary relationship.

In the show, the world of professional chef Jamie (Corden) crumbles when he learns shocking secrets about his pregnant wife, Amandine (Melia Kreiling). He turns to his brother-in-law, Jeff (Colin Morgan) for support, but Jeff is having his own marital problems in his relationship with Jamie’s sister, Lue (Hawkins).

Mammals is written by Olivier and Tony Award winner Jez Butterworth. It’s directed by Stephanie Laing (Made for Love, Physical) and produced by Street Hassle, in association with Vertigo Films and Fulwell 73.

All six episodes of Mammals premiere November 11 on Prime Video.
