HBO released a new teaser for season six of Game of Thrones, which shows quick glimpses of many characters while storylines intensify and Westeros prepares for war.

“The real war is between the living and the dead,” says Ser Davos Seaworth in the two-minute trailer. New footage also includes Jamie Lannister threatening the High Sparrow, Cersei Lannister back to manipulating her son, Tommen, and Sansa Stark plotting her revenge (finally!).

Arya Stark has been given a second chance but “there will not be a third” as she’s seen training to fight in the House of Black and White. Lord Varys and Tyrion Lannister are attempting to rule Meereen in Daenerys’ continued absence, while Tyrion steps into the lair of dragons who “don’t do well in captivity.” Tyrion also, of course, grabs the trailer’s best line when he says, “that is what I do. I drink and I know things.”

Jon Snow is again lying there as a corpse as wildling Tormund declares, “I thought he was the man to lead us through the long night. I was wrong.”

Speculation continues as to whether he’ll be resurrected by Red Priestess Melisandre, on whom the season premiere is expected to focus by its title “The Red Woman.”

Game of Thrones premieres Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m. on HBO, and in the meantime, these teasers are torture.
