Local television stations from Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Richmond, Va., Birmingham and Little Rock, Ala., owned by such groups as Gray Television, E.W. Scripps, Sinclair Broadcast Group and Tegna, were some of the big winners at the 2021 Promax Local Awards, the annual celebration of local broadcasting’s best marketing and promotion.

The awards presentation took place Thursday during a virtual ceremony hosted by Loni Love, comedian and panelist on Warner Bros.’ syndicated daytime talk show The Real.

Gold and silver awards were handed out in categories honoring everything from the best weather programming spot to the funniest promo. Each year, work is entered by individual stations, network in-house creative groups, or station groups and their parent companies.
