With more than 1.5 million and counting, podcasts are the hot new thing with nearly one-third of Americans counting themselves as listeners and podcast revenue collectively about to hit $1 billion. But considering how relatively simple they are to produce, and thus the sheer volume of them, it’s getting increasingly difficult to break through the clutter.

Promax spent a Virtual Session discussing how best to market podcasts both as standalone audio content and as compelling marketing extensions of TV shows and entertainment networks.

Moderator Nick Quah, founder of Hot Pod Media, host of Servant of Pod and Vulture critic was joined by Shira Atkins, co-founder and CMO of Wonder Media Network; Tyler Moody, vice president and general manager of WarnerMedia Podcast Network and Lauren Vu, head of marketing for Spotify Studios to discuss how podcasts use storytelling to draw in audiences.
