Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) is just a regular 12-year-old boy when he starts seeing gods and monsters everywhere he looks. Soon he learns that he’s actually a demigod and he must go on a quest to find Zeus’ lost lightning bolt, accompanied by his friends Grover, a faun (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries).

Disney Plus’ Percy Jackson and the Olympians is based on the beloved book series of the same name. It also features a wide array of guest stars, including Megan Mullally as Alecto, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, Toby Stephens as Poseidon, Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus, Jay Duplass as Hades and the late Lance Reddick as Zeus himself.

The first two episodes are written by Rick Riordan and Jon Steinberg and directed by James Bobin. Steinberg and Dan Shotz serve as executive producers alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Monica Owusu-Breen, Anders Engström and Jet Wilkinson.

The first two episodes of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiere on Wednesday, December 20, with a new episode coming out every Wednesday.
