Imaginary Forces crafted this simple but intriguing title sequence for Hulu’s limited series, The Other Black Girl, which started streaming on Wednesday, September 13.
The sequence shows the two main characters – Nella (Sinclair Daneil) and Hazel (Ashleigh Murray) in silhouette – and it also hints that there’s something else happening beneath the surface. Nella works as an editorial assistant at Wagner Books and is excited when Hazel is hired so that she will no longer be the only Black woman working at Wagner. But Nella’s hopes for friendship with Hazel fade as Hazel’s star rises and Nella spirals out.
