In the hands of London-based agency Huge Designs, the main titles for Amazon’s limited series Wilderness are both high art and creepy symbolism as denizens of Mother Nature trap, sting and kill each other over and over again.
As the sequence starts, two spotted moths flutter on to the screen, playfully circling each other against a cityscape at night. That scene morphs into a frog eating a dragonfly, just before the frog, now swimming in a giant martini glass, gets snapped up by a crane. And so the beautifully rendered sequences go until it all ends up under a glass dome with a very realistic rendition of the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign.
The main titles are set to the show’s anthem, Taylor Swift’s re-recorded “Look What You Made Me Do,” although the song is silent in the above video due to licensing restraints.

Based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, Wilderness tells the story of a British couple – Liv (Jenna Coleman) and Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) – whose marriage is being seriously tested after Liv discovered that Will had an affair. Now they are on a dream trip through the American West but Liv’s rage and need for revenge quickly turns it into a nightmare.
Wilderness is created by Marnie Dickens and executive produced by Elizabeth Kilgarriff, Marnie Dickens, So Yong Kim with Kim also directing.
Wilderness started streaming on Prime Video on September 15.
