“They say we’re running out of resources, that we won’t be able to fix things. Well, they don’t know that we are the resources. So when the universe calls, Helios answers,” narrates Edward Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman) in the season-four trailer for Apple TV Plus’ For All Mankind.
Season four picks up eight years after season three, with the Happy Valley settlement now fully set up on Mars. In the above trailer, space program Helios is actively recruiting more people to live on the red planet. Meanwhile, Helios’ focus has turned to mining mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But everything isn’t always going smoothly between the residents of Mars’ now-sprawling international base and those tensions threaten to undo everything the colony is working towards.
