Netflix and Univision struck an unprecedented deal to bring the streaming service’s shows to broadcast television for the first time.

The move, announced an hour before Univision’s upfront presentation, aims to promote the SVOD service in Hispanic homes by bringing the first seasons of Netflix series Narcos and Club de Cuervos to Univision stations.

“Narcos’ is a huge global success on Netflix and sampling the series to every single Spanish-speaking living room in the U.S. will give additional viewers the opportunity to fall in love with its unique storytelling,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, told Variety.

“Promoting these original shows on Univision is a great way to further reach Hispanic audiences and help them discover Netflix.”

Season one of Narcos will air on Univision later this year before season two hits Netflix. The series chronicles real-life stories and attempts by law enforcement to capture Colombian drug kingpins in the late 1980s. Season one of Spanish-language drama Club de Cuervos will air on UniMas, also before the season two premiere on Netflix. The series takes an inside look at the intra-family battle to determine who controls a professional soccer team.

Netflix has been investing in Spanish-language programming, which includes the development of new political drama Ingobernable, set in Mexico with telenovela star Kate del Castillo. Netflix and Univision also teamed up to co-produce El Chapo based on the life story of the notorious drug lord. The series will be available in the US on Netflix after airing on UniMas in 2017, and it will premiere in the rest of the world exclusively on Netflix.

Telemundo also has announced a series based on Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who was arrested in January about six months after his mile-long tunnel escape from a Mexican maximum security prison.

El Chapo is a great example of how Univision continues to innovate and evolve with premium storytelling formats,” Randy Falco, president and CEO of Univision Communications Inc., said in a statement. “The IP we’ve developed from more than 50 years of award-winning news and investigations gives us unique and innovative ways to tell stories in a way no other network can. We are pleased to deliver this groundbreaking series to audiences in the U.S. and around the world.”

Although the partnership between Netflix and Univision is rare, there’s likely not much overlap between the two company’s audiences and the deal may represent a synergistic relationship for both.

“No other media company understands Hispanic American audiences like Univision and this promotional partnership speaks to our ability to reach and engage our growth consumer with unmatched scale and depth,” Falco told Variety “We are pleased to work with Netflix and leverage Univision’s unique reach and deep connection with our audience to introduce millions of our viewers to their ground-breaking series.”
