The NBA is successful for so many more reasons besides basketball. This season-launch campaign, a spin-off of the league’s popular “This is Why We Play,” highlights some of them, reports Adweek.
Besides the overall spot, Tip Off (above), which features some of last season’s most emotional moments, the campaign also takes a personal look at each of the league’s 30 teams.
The spot below, called “Home Court Advantage,” showcases the work of a woman named Meagan who drapes Oracle Stadium’s 20,000 seats with Golden State Warrior t-shirts before every home game.
“We get the fans ready and then the fans get the players ready,” she says. “There’s a reason they call it home court advantage.”
The campaign even includes a spot in Spanish about Mexico City, where the league has played two games every year for 25 years.
