National Geographic continues to mash up fiction with documentary as it heads into season two of Mars, which finds the red planet much more colonized.

That means that with scientists come miners looking to exploit the planet’s natural resources, and that invariably leads to conflict.

“There are other human beings on Mars now,” says Mission Commander Hana Seung (Jihae Kim). “Coexistence may prove just as challenging as it does on Earth.”

In the above trailer, Nat Geo features interviews with the likes of Elon Musk, Andy Weir and Neil DeGrasse Tyson, who discuss the likelihood that humans will soon find themselves on Mars and what that might mean for human civilization as a whole.

Season two of Mars premieres on Nat Geo on Monday, Nov. 12.
