U.S. Army Master Sergeant Cedric King learned to compete every day of his life at the highest level when he was training to become an Army Ranger.

That training helped him accept the loss when he became a double amputee.

“I realized my injury doesn’t define me ... I know what does define me is what I do after the injury,” he says in the above spot.

​In advance of Veterans Day, History teamed with healthcare provider Cigna to promote its veterans support line, a free, year-round service that helps veterans find resources when they return home to the U.S. and leave the service.
