A recent Mr. Robot trailer conveys the future has “never been less certain,” for hacker Elliot Alderson, but at least fans of the critically-acclaimed show now have a better sense of when that future will unfold.

USA Network released a short teaser (below) and revealed the 10-episode second season of Mr. Robot will premiere July 13 at 10/9 c.

The series played a key role in USA’s recent rebranding strategy. The network debuted a new campaign and tagline, “We The Bold” — repositioning USA to reflect a new Mr. Robot era of programming aimed to capture millennial values like authenticity, resiliency, bravery and innovation.

The series follows Elliot (Rami Malek), a young cyber-security engineer who becomes involved in the underground hacker group fsociety, after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Christian Slater). Following the events of fsociety’s 5/9 hack on multi-national company Evil Corp, the second season will explore the consequences of that attack as well as the illusion of control.

A promo that uses the ‘We The Bold’ tagline for season two implies nothing short of a people’s revolution.

Mr. Robot received two Golden Globe awards in January for best television drama series and best supporting actor in a TV series (Christian Slater). Malek was also nominated for best performance by an actor in a TV series.

The drama hails from writer and executive producer Sam Esmail (Comet), who will direct all of season two’s 10 episodes, as well as Anonymous Content executive producers Steve Golin (True Detective) and Chad Hamilton (Breakup at a Wedding).
