As baseball’s postseason got underway last month, MLB Network celebrated iconic moments in World Series history.
The above spot, made in cooperation with the Baseball Hall of Fame, showcases World Series rings. The collection was shot using a probe lens in order to capture the rings’ beauty, evolution and craftsmanship.
The network then paired the visuals with timeless announcer calls to spark nostalgia in fans.
The calls include: ‘86 Mets – Vin Scully’s “Behind the bag! It gets through Buckner!”; ‘88 Dodgers – Jack Buck’s “I don’t believe what I just saw!”; ‘93 Blue Jays – Tom Cheek’s “Touch ‘em all, Joe. You’ll never hit a bigger home run in your life.”; ‘04 Red Sox – Joe Buck’s “The greatest comeback in postseason history.”; ‘16 Cubs – Pat Hughes’ “The longest drought in the history of American sports is over!”; ‘20 Dodgers – Joe Buck’s “Dodgers win it all in 2020!”
