Animal Planet and Discovery Plus are back with Puppy Bowl XVIII airing on those platforms prior to Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI on NBC. Featuring 118 adoptable puppies from 67 shelters across 33 states, Puppy Bowl XVIII is mixing it up with a multitude of marketing partners to bring fans plenty of puppy love ahead of the big game starting at 2 pm ET/11 am PT.

This year’s partners include Southwest Airlines, Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Insomnia Cookies, Build-A-Bear, Georgetown Cupcake, Paper Source, Harney & Sons and Orange Twins Rescue.

“Puppy Bowl is the biggest event on Animal Planet and partnerships make our one of a kind celebration of animal adoption truly 360,” said Josh Kovolenko, SVP of marketing for Discovery, Animal Planet and Science in a statement. “Whether they are flying to Los Angeles for the big game or playing with kids at home, these brand experiences allow our super fans to get up close with the magic of the Animal Planet brand.”

Travelers on Southwest Airlines this week can spend their flight enjoying puppy-based content on the airline’s inflight entertainment portal, including the ability to watch past Puppy Bowls on demand. And those whose furry best friends are small can bring them on board in an approved carrier.

On Saturday, February 12, Animal Planet, Annenberg PetSpace and Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. in Los Angeles are hosting a “Pup Rally,” that includes dog agility drills and games, complimentary Grounds & Hounds “Puppy Bowl Blend” coffee, snacks, prize giveaways and more. Every dog that attends the ‘Pup Rally’ will receive an official Puppy Bowl gameday bandana to show their support for ‘Team Ruff’ or ‘Team Fluff’ in the next day’s game. Free Puppy Bowl bandanas also are available at Build-a-Bear Workshop stores when customers purchase a Promise Pets pup.

Tea drinkers can also grab a free Puppy Bowl bandana when they order hot cinnamon spice and peanut butter dog biscuits from fine tea purveyor Harney & Sons.

To go along with that coffee or tea, Insomnia Cookies is providing the code COOKIES+PUPPIES for $5 off orders of $15 or more valid for local delivery and pick up as well as nationwide shipping orders. (Customer must add deal to cart online and use code COOKIES+PUPPIES prior to checkout to redeem. Delivery minimum still applies. Limit three uses per customer. Offer expires 2/11/2022 at 3am and this offer cannot be combined with any other deal or offer.)

If cookies aren’t your thing, Georgetown Cupcake is offering multiple kinds of cupcakes in honor of Puppy Bowl, including chocolate and bright blue, chocolate puppy face, chocolate and green grass, red velvet, vanilla and orange, and salted caramel puppy face, all decorated with Animal Planet, Discovery Plus or Puppy Bowl-themed fondant. Cupcakes are available for nationwide overnight shipping or local pickup and delivery in Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., Boston or Atlanta.

That coffee, cookies and cupcakes can be enjoyed at a Puppy Bowl party with decorations by Paper Source, which is offering 20% off with code PUPPYBOWL20.

Leading up to Puppy Bowl, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will be showcasing staff-owned and adoptable pups on popular Instagram account @DailyShowDogs for the second straight year.

Puppy fans also can text PUPPYBOWL to 707070 to Orange Twins Rescue to get more information on the animal rescue and rehabilitation organization as well as download a free puppy-themed Zoom virtual background.
