AMC Networks has renewed six of its original series across its suite of streaming services, including AMC Plus, Acorn TV and Shudder. The series are AMC Plus’ Kin, Acorn TV’s My Life is Murder, Bloodlands and London Kills, and Shudder’s Slasher – with Eric McCormack starring in this new installment titled Ripper – and Greg Nicotero’s Creepshow.
Those series renewals come as several big AMC shows prepare to close out their runs.
AMC announced that the sixth and final season of its critically acclaimed series Better Call Saul would premiere on Monday, April 18.
The new season will be accompanied by short-form digital series Slippin’ Jimmy and Cooper’s Bar, both of which will air on AMC’s digital platforms this spring. Better Call Saul’s famed short-form employee videos also will return.
Other big premieres include The Walking Dead, which returns for the second half of its eleventh season on Sunday, February 13 on AMC Plus and Sunday, February 20 on AMC. Its companion series, Fear the Walking Dead, returns for the second half of its seventh season on Sunday, April 17 on AMC Plus, with new episodes airing on AMC one week later.
AMC Plus’ and BBC America’s Killing Eve, starring Emmy winners Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, comes back for its fourth and final season on Sunday, February 27 and its series finale on Sunday, April 10
New series coming to AMC include That Dirty Black Bag on Thursday, March 11. The series, about bounty hunters in the wild West, stars Preacher’s Dominic Cooper as well as Douglas Booth, Travis Fimmel and Aiden Gillen.
Limited series 61st Street debuts on AMC Plus and ALLBLK on Sunday, April 10 and then becomes available on AMC one week later. The series focuses on the Chicago criminal justice system and stars Courtney B. Vance, Aunjanue Ellis, Mark O’Brien, Holt McCallany, Tosin Cole, Andrene Ward-Hammond and Bentley Green.
Finally, The Ipcress File, based on Len Deighton’s spy thriller, premieres in May. The series is adapted by Trainspotting’s John Hodge and stars Joe Cole, Lucy Boynton and Tom Hollander.
