In 2023, the NFL is changing the Pro Bowl from a traditional tackle football game to something more like a day of zany track-and-field/other competitions (balloon toss, anyone?) that takes place at the end of the school year when no one has any more attention left to give.
Former Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks – and highly competitive brothers – Peyton and Eli Manning will coach the AFC and the NFC, respectively, through several days of games at the NFL Pro Bowl Games in Las Vegas. The action starts with some skills challenges on Thursday, February 2 and culminates in a championship flag football match on Sunday, February 5.
In a series of spots created in partnership with advertising agency 72andSunny, the brothers face off, with Peyton claiming the AFC is better at dodgeball and balloon toss while Eli claims golf, height and hair. Peyton gets in the ultimate insult when he says that “Mom loves the AFC more” while taking a call from her and telling a dejected Eli that “she doesn’t want to talk to you.”
72andSunny also produced two :15 spots featuring Peyton somewhat unsuccessfully coaching Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs through the balloon toss and Eli working with New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis on the “rip and grip,” which Davis seems to have down. (Also note whose picture adorns the tackle dummy.)

The spots run until February 5 across the NFL’s broadcast, social and digital channels.
