Local stations know that its viewers aren’t always watching them on TV. So CBS-owned KDKA Pittsburgh went to its audience on digital and social media platforms with its “22 questions” campaign, in which they put their talent in fun and familiar places and asked them a series of questions.

The spots also reveal that the station’s talent aren’t just reporters and anchors, but also real people with families who love living in Pittsburgh. Each interview is also produced with a little social media flair, with family pictures, emojis and other graphics coming in and out of the video frame.

But it’s hard to cut a 22-question interview into 30- or 15-second sound bites, so for television, the station devised the #PittsburghProud campaign, cutting down the interviews to just one key response.
