WonderCon is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center for the first time this year, and broadcast, cable and streaming networks are flocking to the growing convention that runs from March 25 - 27.

Comic-Con’s little brother may have slightly less hype, but the less crowded space is also a golden opportunity for TV marketers to shine. Many networks are showing episode sneak peeks, holding promotional events and parties, and hosting panels with castmembers, executives and producers that go behind the scenes on many shows, and delve into trends having a major impact on the television industry.

Here are some of the TV highlights happening as WonderCon kicks off on Friday.

Nickelodeon to Showcase New ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

Nickelodeon is partying like it’s the 1980s. The network will debut its new animated TV series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with a sneak peak of a time-traveling episode that reunites the voice cast of the cartoon that introduced our heroes in a half shell to mainstream media. The episode also offers a glimpse of the Ninja Turtles in a comic book world resembling the original series by Kevin Eastman.

The voice actors and executive producer will present an hour-long panel about the show.

Costumed villains Bebop and Rocksteady will also be joining Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo at the Nickelodeon booth, which will include fan giveaways, autographs on Saturday afternoon, and entrance bracelets for Saturday night’s TMNT party at Tom’s Urban Saturday night.
