Burned-out Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her entitled and somewhat clueless Gen-Z writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) hit the road in season two of HBO Max’s Emmy-winning Hacks.

Set to Joseph’s “Burn the White Flag,” the official trailer sees the pair go out on tour in a tricked-out bus, along with Vance’s agent, Jimmy (Paul W. Downs, who also writes and executive produces the show along with his wife, Lucia Aniello, who directs and executive produces, and their creative partner Jen Statsky) and Vance’s new tour manager, the unfortunately nick-named Weed (Laurie Metcalfe).

Hacks also stars Carl Clemons-Hopkins as the head of Vance’s business and Jane Adams as Ava’s newly widowed mom. Returning cast members include Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki and Lorenza Izzo. New recurring guest stars are Martha Kelly, Ming-Na Wen and Susie Essman, along with Margaret Cho and Devon Sawa.

Hacks is created and showrun by Downs, Aniello and Statsky. It is executive produced by Downs and Aniello via their Paulilu banner, Statsky via First Thought Productions, Michael Schur via Fremulon, David Miner for 3 Arts Entertainment and Morgan Sackett. The show is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Hacks returns to HBO Max for season two on May 12.
