Season two of Fox’s DC Comics-based drama, Gotham, has been all about the villains, and headed into the second part of the season, Detectives Jim Gordon (Ben MacKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) have quite a few of them on their hands.
Most central to the show—and to the overall Batman story—is Oswold Cobblepot aka The Penguin (Robin Taylor).
“I’m not a criminal, you know. I’m just insane,” he says, offering a fair amount of insight into his mindset.
Next up, we have Edward Nygma or E. Nygma (get it?) or—soon to be—The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith).
“I am a man who answers to no one!” he says.
Mr. Freeze is a character made iconic in the movies by Arthur Schwarzenegger. In this version, he’s played by Nathan Darrow, also known to House of Cards’ fans as President Frank Underwood’s very attentive bodyguard.
Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) runs the Arkham Asylum, where Cobblepot/Penguin appears to have the misfortune of being one of his patients.
Fox’s Batman origin story returns to the network on Monday at 8/7 c.
