Monday, FXX announced its ambitious plans for a 12-day marathon of “The Simpsons” to celebrate its entrance into cable syndication.

The 552-episode marathon kicking off Aug. 21, plus the “Simpsons” movie, could be a record breaker for the network for the longest TV marathon in history. It will end Sept. 1, leading into the Sept. 2 debut of “The Simpsons” syndication run on FXX’s schedule.

To welcome the American animated family into FXX’s home and to get fans everywhere ready for the days and days of nothing but “Simpsons,” FXX released the promo above, showing what the world could look like when viewers get a bit distracted with every “Simpsons” episode ever.
