Miami-based 2C Creative helped CNN devise and evolve a graphics package that helped take the network from the conventions to the race’s climax on Election Night. The package can be seen in the above clip.
The agency designed a graphics toolkit that could be rolled out in three phases. The elements had to be both versatile and easy to incorporate across the rollout of major election coverage events—conventions, debates and breaking news.
“From the beginning, we wanted to create a visual metaphor that would reflect the current political environment,” said 2C Design Director Luis Martinez in a statement. “The slanted line that drives the package represents the current divide we’re experiencing as a nation. Moving across the screen, it reveals text and the colors of the respective parties.”
