Los Angeles-based creative studio Elastic and creative director Duncan Elms partnered with Paramount Plus to produce the above photorealistic main titles for its latest Taylor Sheridan series, Lawmen: Bass Reeves.

David Oyelolo (Silo) stars as the title character, Bass Reeves, a former slave who becomes the first Black U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi. Lawmen: Bass Reeves is structured as an anthology and the first of several anticipated such productions.

The series also stars Lauren E. Banks, Demi Singleton, Forrest Goodluck, Barry Pepper, Donald Sutherland and Dennis Quaid. The cast also includes Shea Whigham and Garrett Hedlund as guest stars, and, in recurring roles, Joaquina Kalukango, Lonnie Chavis, Grantham Coleman, Tosin Morohunfola, Dale Dickey, Rob Morgan, Ryan O’Nan, Margot Bingham, Mo Brings Plenty, Justin Hurtt-Dunkley and Bill Dawes.

Lawmen: Bass Reeves was created for television by executive producer and showrunner Chad Feehan. The limited series also is executive produced by Sheridan, Oyelolo, David C. Glasser, Jessica Oyelowo, David Permut, Christina Alexandra Voros, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and David Hutkin. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions and Oyelowo’s Yoruba Saxon and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of Paramount Plus international markets.

Lawmen: Bass Reeves premiered November 5 on Paramount Plus.
