To promote the national launch of Hearst’s new Very Local streaming app, Culver City, Calif.-based Charlie Co produced the above spot incorporating the app’s new style-guide elements with footage from Hearst’s local TV stations.

Hearst asked Charlie Co to update their brand spot, including originating the spot’s concept and script. Charlie Co did that while staying within the style guidelines, which keeps all of the graphic elements in modern shades of blue and uses sans serif fonts with clean lines.

Besides the above national hero spot, Charlie Co also created a localized version for Hearst stations to customize for their markets across the country.

Streaming app Very Local includes content produced by Hearst-owned stations, as well as local news and weather, as well as original series produced especially for the service.
