The story begins ten years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, when Kenobi’s padawan, Anakin Skywalker, finally made his move to the dark side and became evil Sith Lord Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen).

Kenobi has hidden Skywalker’s son, Luke, on Tatooine, and is keeping watch over him, although Kenobi’s opinions on how he should be raised differ from those of Uncle Owen (Joel Edgerton). Meanwhile, the Empire’s Jedi hunters, the Inquisitors, are constantly searching for Kenobi, led by Reva (Moses Ingram).

“You can’t win, Obi-Wan,” she yells. “You can’t escape him!”

The cast also includes Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow and executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Chow, McGregor and Joby Harold.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere with two episodes on Disney Plus on Friday, May 27, streaming new episodes each week on Wednesdays until the finale on Wednesday, June 22.
