Disney/ABC Television is doubling down on its pact with Web giant Yahoo, with both parties unveiling a deeper content partnership on Thursday that will see Yahoo branding on ABC’s top-rated morning talk show Good Morning America and ABC stars appear on Yahoo! sites.

Katie Couric, Yahoo’s Global News Anchor, will also return to ABC News, a year after she left the network for her current Yahoo perch.

The Yahoo Your Day series on GMA will feature the site’s style expert Joe Zee, beauty editor Bobbi Brown, health guru Michele Promaulayko, and food editor Kerry Diamond, while the Web company’s Flickr platform will be integrated into the show’s weather reports.

Popular Disney/ABC Television Group series, such as How To Get Away With Murder, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Dancing with the Stars, and Jimmy Kimmel Live will also post clips to Yahoo Screen and Yahoo TV.

“Our partnership with Yahoo has thrived for the last three years, creating and delivering to millions a rich blend of live breaking news, major special events, historic newsmaker interviews, and compelling digital original series,” said James Goldston, president of ABC News. “The combination of ABC News’ world-class journalism, DATG’s hit programming, and Yahoo’s vast digital network, talent, and technology is an unstoppable force.”

Brief Take: With viewers shunning live television in record numbers, Yahoo’s digital presence will provide DATG with a vast, untapped digital platform through which to market and promote their linear series.
