From two people you may have heard of, Robert Redford and George R. R. Martin, comes new AMC Networks series Dark Winds based on the series of books by Tony Hillerman.
Set in 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, Dark Winds follows Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) of the Tribal Police as he is besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. The closer he gets to the truth, the more he runs into the wounds of his past. Accompanying Leaphorn is his new deputy, Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon), who also has scores to settle. Together, the two men battle the forces of evil, each other and their own personal demons on the path to salvation.
