Loni Love, comic and co-host of The Real will host the 2016 PromaxBDA North America Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards, as well as the Global Excellence Awards at PromaxBDA: The Conference, from June 14 - 16.

The winners in more than 150 categories will be announced on Thursday, June 16, at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel. PromaxBDA is the leading global association for promotion, marketing and design professionals. The North America competition celebrates the year’s best achievements in entertainment marketing across every screen, including on-air, online and on-the-go, and the Global Excellence Awards honors the best work in all categories from around the world.

Love is a comic, author and actress who has been nominated for an Emmy as Outstanding Talk Show Host. She will host the upcoming Heads Up! game show based on Ellen Degeneres’ trademark game, and is the co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show Cafe Mocha. She was also named one of the “Top 10 Comics to Watch” by Variety and Comedy Central, and released her first book, Love Him or Leave Him, But Don’t Get Stuck with the Tab, which is part memoir and part relationship advice.

Love grew up in Detroit and got her start in standup comedy while at Prairie View A&M University in Texas on a scholarship for electrical engineering. After graduation she moved to Los Angeles in 2003, working as an electrical engineer while pursuing her dream of standup comedy in the evenings, and has landed roles in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Bad Asses on the Bayou, and the recent feature Mother’s Day.
