For the past few years, Stephen Arnold Music has partnered with PromaxBDA to showcase and giveaway some fantastic guitars, of which Arnold is a enthusiastic collector.

“We’ve had a lot of success with the giveaway because it draws a lot of attention,” says Arnold, the namesake of his acclaimed music production company with “the most-heard, least-known composers in America,” servicing television networks, cable channels, TV stations, film houses and advertising agencies worldwide. “These kiosks are eye candy. There are so many closet guitar players out there and everyone knows someone who plays guitar.”

While most of the guitars Stephen Arnold Music gives away are relatively new replicas, he has given away a few that were signed by the artists, including Willie Nelson and Tom Petty. Those guitars have been a little harder for Arnold to part with.

“When I preparing to give away the signed Willie Nelson guitar, I had a guitar tech come in to make sure the guitar was polished up and restrung correctly. I walked in right when he started polishing it, and he was polishing on top of Nelson’s signature! I saved it just in time. That was probably the hardest one to give away.”

All of the guitars in this year’s giveaways are either original models that these music legends chose to play or replicas of the originals. Several of them, such as the Stevie Ray Stratocaster, are distressed to make them look like the original.

Be sure to stop by the Stephen Arnold Music kiosks, which will be prominently displayed at both PromaxBDA The Conference and Station Summit, to check out this year’s selection of guitars and drop off your business card to enter the raffle. You’ll get to see some cool guitars, learn a little something and maybe even win a guitar!
