In Showtime’s The Man Who Fell to Earth, Chiwetel Eijofor is an alien who has come to Earth looking for answers for his dying planet. Naomie Harris is the scientist he seeks out to save his people.

The series also stars Jimmi Simpson, Rob Delaney, Sonya Cassidy, Joana Ribeiro, Annelle Olaleye, Kate Mulgrew, Clarke Peters and Bill Nighy. It’s inspired by Walter Tevis’ novel and the film starring David Bowie.

The Man Who Fell to Earth is executive produced by Alex Kurtzman, Jenny Lumet, John Hlavin, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Ejiofor and Studiocanal’s Rola Bauer and Françoise Guyonnet. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Timberman/Beverly. Studiocanal owns the rights for both Walter Tevis’ book and the Nicolas Roeg film with David Bowie. The series is distributed internationally by the very recently rebranded Paramount Global Distribution Group.

The Man Who Fell to Earth premieres Sunday, April 24 at 10 p.m. on Showtime with the first two episodes airing back to back.
