CBS, normally conservative when it comes to online streaming deals, has made a bit of headway this week with digital downloads of crime drama “Person of Interest.”

The Warner Bros. crime series’ first two seasons are now available to download and stream through CBS, iTunes and Amazon Instant Video.

J.J. Abrams, “Person of Interest’s” executive producer, has commented in the past about how the lack of current streaming deals made it hard for new viewers to find the show (many other broadcast shows have seen success in this strategy).

Brief Take: Though live streaming is still not an option, this is a big step for CBS and “Person of Interest,” who has avoided most live streaming and similar content deals for current series in the past
