Traditional Russian tapestries and the 2018 FIFA World Cup come together in BBC Sport’s trailer for the upcoming soccer championship.

The spot highlights the players competing in this year’s event in Moscow, and each frame of the minute-long spot was individually embroidered, according to Campaign.

The trailer goes hand-in-hand with a seven-meter-long IRL tapestry that will grow as the matches unfold this summer as a way to create a real historical record of the 2018 event. The tapestry will later go on display in the UK.

The trailer was created by Xander Hart and Edward Usher at the network’s in-house agency BBC Creative.

Music is by Oche Cheryne, and performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra, featuring Sir John Tomlinson and arranged by Alex Baranowski.
