Twitter Amplify is ramping up its roster, with BBC Global News the first global news media organization to join in.

Building on BBC America’s existing partnership with Twitter, BBC Global plans to incorporate in-tweet video clips with relevant news announcements and stories as a way to further engage its global news community and Twitter news fanatics.
Via its Twitter handle @BBCWorld, BBC has already begun making use of Twitter with #BBCTrending, with social media-related short-form video reports to launch later this fall.

Brief Take: BBC furthers its own brand with this new partnership and continues to appeal to true news junkies, while Twitter can boast that it’s got a top news brand in its arsenal as it works to appeal to more TV and video entities.
