After a launch support engineer finds himself an unintentional stowaway (Shamier Anderson) on a two-year mission to Mars, he finds his life threatened after he accidentally damages the ship’s life-support systems, leaving only enough oxygen for three of the ship’s crew to live through the voyage in Netflix’s new film Stowaway. While the ship’s captain (Toni Collette) and biologist (Daniel Dae Kim) see things one way, the team’s medical researcher (Anna Kendrick) sees things differently in this film about the human spirit of exploration and the fight to survive.

Stowaway is written by Joe Penna and Ryan Morrison, who also directed Arctic, with Penna directing. Morrison executive produces along with Maxime Cottray, Nate Bolotin and Philipp Stendebach. It’s produced by XYZ Films, augenschein Filmproduktion, Rise Pictures and RainMaker Films.

Stowaway premieres on Netflix on April 22.
