Everything’s a competition between WWE Superstars Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and John Morrison, from professional wrestling (natch) to mini-golf and ultimately, car purchasing.
When they both set off to prove they can buy the best car, little do they know that they have both sought an advantage at CarMax—one in person and one online. The final result is that they end up with the same car at virtually the same time.
The spot was originated by the NBCU Creative Partnerships team who brought together USA, WWE and CarMax and then handed the project over to Encino, Calif.-based creative agency Ringer.
“This spot started with a great concept created by the NBCU Creative Partnerships team and then we came aboard to flesh out the script, produce the shoot and do post,” said Rob Meltzer, Ringer director and founder, in a statement. “One of our main goals was to make sure that the tone rang true for WWE fans, so we did a deep dive into the history of this iconic tag team and included lots of inside jokes that fans would recognize.”
