“Mad Men’s” return is almost upon us, and AMC shares our excitement. Leading up to its April 13 premiere, Don Draper embraces this season’s 1970s graphics in a new trailer (above). And not to be outdone, new tech drama “Halt and Catch Fire” uses ‘80s themes (even some Eurythmics) for its series premiere trailer.
“Mad Men” has slowly been rolling out first looks, key art and brief glimpses into its seventh season premiere, and with its newest trailer, all of these aesthetics come together so that an illustrated Don Draper can physically walk into the new key art look.
And going forward a bit into the 1980s tech scene, “Halt and Catch Fire” debuted its series premiere trailer called “Break Some Rules.” Set to one of the most recognizable songs of the era, “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” by Eurythmics, the spot makes the world of PCs and code look dangerous and exciting. The new series, which premiered this year at SXSW, premieres on AMC June 1.
